Final Blog Entry

Write a short story (at least 5 paragraphs) about what happened after Ralph looked up and saw the naval officer.

 

What happened?  Did they go back home?  Are their parents alive?  Is Jack punished? 

Use your imagination, but remember to write it as a short story NOT as an essay. 

 

 I came upon the beach I fell of exhaustion, luckily a naval officer rescued me from a near death experience. Whew, it is good to be alive. We were on the ship going home. The Captain fed us some chicken and broccoli. It was so good.

 

When I had gotten to the US my mom heard we were rescued. She had come and hugged me. She told me she was at grandma's house. When I got home We had a big feat and gues what. My dad came home.

 

I had told my father about my experiences on the island. How I was chief, and was making sure we were able to survive. I told him about Jack, the boy who was jealous of me. My father was happy that I was able to survive and after did everything in his power to ensure that those boys were punished.

 

My father told me that those boys were going to pay. I told him the reason I survived was because my friend Samneric saved me from being captured long enough to get off of the island. I told him that a boy named Roger killed my friend piggy. My father called in work to find out where he was.

 

Roger was the first to go down. He was at his aunt's house across the country. After Roger it was ralph at his cousins not too far from granny's. After Jack it was the rest of them. For I have avenged him.

     The conch shell symbolizes civilization. It is used to hear the ideas of the boys without anyone talking or interrupting that person. The boys use it so that they can act civilized. They call meeting on the island with the conch at the platform. With this there is a way that everyone can talk and argue his or her case.        The beastie symbolizes fear. It comes to us as a snake-like animal. Although we have never seen it in the book, rather than with the actions of the boys, and how they act . We are introduced to it by the boy with the mulberry mark on his face. Jack uses fear to scare piggy/make him feel weak.         The fire symbolizes hope for the boys. The boys hope to get rescued on the island so they set a signal fire at the top of the mountain. With all the boys went through, the only have their faith in each other and that light at the top of the hill to get rescued....

Chapter 9

Dear Diary,      Piggy and I went to the feast so that we would be able to keep some control over events. At the feast, the boys were enjoying themselves laughing and eating the roasted pig. Jack was sitting in a big chair like a throne languidly issuing commands. I don’t know what is going on with Jack. Was he really that jealous of me.        Jack extended an invitation to all of the remaining followers to join his tribe. Most of them accepted, my attempts of trying to persuade them to stay was a failure. What I the world is going through his mind right now?      I t started to rain, an idea came up in mind.
